Company History

Founder Joe Voci has been dedicated to electrical services for most of his life. Upon graduation from high school, he attended trade school with his sights set on becoming either an electrician or an auto mechanic.

Finding himself at a crossroads, he put careful consideration into where exactly his passions lie. His one certainty was that he loved working with his hands, especially when it came to repairing the otherwise inoperable.

It dawned on him that the incredible and unpredictable nature and science behind electricity meant that he’d be given the opportunity to deal with unique and challenging problems for the rest of his life. With this in mind, he went to Orleans Technical Institute.

Putting in the Hours

From the beginning of his tenure at Orleans Technical Institute, Joe knew a trusted electrician was not made in a day. He went through rigorous training and studying over the course of his six-month program, learning as much as he could to become the best at his craft.

In 2001, he officially became a licensed electrician certified to work in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. He needed tangible experience in the field, though, so for the next four years, he spent his time working for a large electrical contractor.

Joe noticed that large contractors had a tendency to overcharge customers and abuse technicians, sacrificing quality for quantity. This resulted in unsafe and overpriced work that lacked the personal relationship people wanted in an electrician.

As a technician who took pride in his work and the local community, it was his own father’s training and certification that finally made starting his own family-owned and -operated business a possibility.
